Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI), Bukit Chagar, Johor Bahru is the main component of the Gerbang Selatan Bersepadu (GSB) project, a project of National and Strategic importance, which has high multiplier effects and spin-offs that brings various economic, social and political benefits to the country and its people.
Located in Johor Bahru’s prime location, the BSI Complex is one of the most prominent landmarks in the city. With the built-up area of 273,560 square metres of well-planned and built facilities, Bangunan Sultan Iskandar is testimony to the commitment by the Federal Government to provide the best facility and environment for international gateway, to the benefit of all Facility Users, particularly resident users and the general public.
It meets and complements Malaysia's aspiration of creating a premier modern gateway into Mainland Asia, with emphasis on its unique features that represents a warm welcoming appearance to visitors in projecting the Malaysia Truly Asia image.
The BSI Complex will provide the infrastructure and related facilities to improve traffic congestion, significantly reduce noise and air pollution at the Causeway, enhance quality of service, heighten security at the checkpoint and promote tourism. This BSI Complex is the busiest land Entry and Exit Point in the country. It operates non-stop, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, with more than 135,000 vehicles passing through this gateway daily.
For the past couple of years, the total number of users In the BSI Complex was approximately 90 million per year, out of which more than I0 million are tourists. Tourism Malaysia has identified BSI Complex as the most important gateway to welcome and promote Malaysia to the world, hence the need to provide world-class facilities and services.
Property and Land Management Division of the Prime Minister’s Department is the owner and custodian of the building that has been given the mandate by the Federal government to manage BSI. Advanced Maintenance Precision Management is honoured to be selected and given the opportunity to undertake the Facility Management Services to this BSI Complex. APMM’s main task is to ensure the smooth running of its operational aspects, including safety and security controls within the building perimeter.
